Claudia Zukeran Kanda

Postdoctoral fellow at Collevatti lab - UFG, Master and PhD in Ecology and Biodiversity at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), with a research internship at the Swansea Lab for Animal Movement (SLAM) - Swansea University (UK). She has experience writing proposals and developing scientific research projects in the field of landscape ecology and movement ecology. Its focus is to understand how changes in the landscape, including forest restoration, influence the movement and use of space by terrestrial fauna. I have experience and skills in the areas of remote sensing, geographic information systems (e.g. SPRING software, ArcGIS, QGIS and Google Earth Engine), programming language (e.g. R) and fauna monitoring (e.g. telemetry, camera trap and autonomous recorder). I carry out several courses for analytical and field improvement in order to assist in planning policies and environmental conservation.

Project:

-Gap Analysis Project in Goiás, Brazil: spatial modeling for Cerrado conservation and management.
-Biodiversity in the Anthropocene: effect of agroecosystems on biodiversity conservation and maintenance of ecosystem functions.
-Movement Ecology Group.
